From 20-31 March 2021, the Law School and the Research Institute of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of Renmin University of China, together with other institutions, launched a series of lectures on Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law.
Famous jurists and law educators, including Professor Zhang Wenxian, Professor Wang Yi, and Professor Han Dayuan, were invited to the first series of lectures on Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law developed by universities around the country in order to explain its formation, development, internal logic, core content, and significance.
The Law School of the Faculty of Political Science and Law of the Open University of China (OUC) notified all law teachers in the OUC system that they should watch the online lectures and study Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law. The event has aroused active responses from the law teachers in the system, who said that the content of the lectures is well designed and explained in a way that they can easily understand, helping them to better master the concepts of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law. Since Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law is a programmatic document guiding overall rule of law in the new era, law teachers should take the lead in learning, understanding and making good use of the related information so as to present it in a better and more accurate way to students during their teaching practices. The OUC’s law teachers will take the opportunity to integrate Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law into law courses in open education, and cultivate applied legal talents who have strong morality and legal professionalism.
