After the outbreak of Covid-19, Shaliyaxi Baletai went to the front lines to help control community spread and safeguard the health and safety of residents.

She showed her sense of political responsibility in the efforts she undertook to organise work teams under the guidance of leadership and the instructions of general secretary Xi Jinping, joining other community cadres, and addressing the tasks assigned her promptly.

Shaliyaxi Baoletai took responsibility for paying the water and electric bills, purchasing daily necessities, garbage disposal, and psychological counseling for a number of households in three residential quarters. Her years of community work allowed her to help residents overcome difficulties, and she took part in setting up and manning checkpoints, cleaning and disinfection, distributing materials, and taking people in need, including the chronically ill and pregnant women, for hospital checkups. She organised the distribution of information, and strict controls that included taking the temperatures of residents. In short, she left no stone unturned in working to protect the health and safety of those within her jurisdiction.

With the outbreak of the epidemic, she began guiding public opinion and publicising policy for residents by means of flyers, WeChat posts, radio announcements, and so on. She organised home visits by volunteers to persuade residents to support measures to control the spread of infection, and also ensured that supervision of people who had returned from work elsewhere, visitors from outside, and close contacts of these was maintained. These measures allowed infections within the jurisdiction to be controlled.

Shaliyaxi Baoletai is devoted to grassroots work, and brings a strong sense of responsibility to every task. Her reputation among the residents is good, and she is deeply trusted by them. She fought bravely and worked hard to contain the epidemic, never shirking from the front lines, or from urgent and dangerous tasks, and setting a good example for those around her. Her efforts and devotion have been recognised by both leaders and residents for keeping the community safe.
