On 23rd July 2018, the Open University of China (OUC) signed a strategic framework agreement with China Property Management Institute (CPMI). OUC president Yang Zhijian, vice president Liu Chen, CPMI chairman Shen Jianzhong, vice chairman and secretary general Wang Peng, and vice chairman and director of the OUC Learning Outcome Accreditation Centre (Property) Zhou Xinyi attended the signing ceremony.
Yang Zhijian pointed out that the construction of industry and cooperate colleges is a mission shared by the OUC and industry associations. The OUC and CPMI are both willing to improve the quality and help with the development of talented professionals for the industry. The two organisations will cooperate in jointly implementing industry education for property management.
Shen Jianzhong pointed out that CPMI attaches great importance to cooperation with the OUC and has formulated a set of working ideas that lead the preparation and construction of industry and cooperate colleges based on the construction of the credit bank. A human resource development committee has been established to guarantee organisational operation and the OUC Learning Outcome Accreditation Centre (Property) has been established as an institutional guarantee. In addition, a corporate entity, Qianhai Qinbo Education and Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd, has been set up to carry out business.
The two organisations will work together to explore a new model and mechanism for developing human resources that are familiar with the property management industry, and to encourage qualified property management enterprises, relevant organisations, non-degree educational training institutions, and specifically related vocational colleges and polytechnic universities to join into the career. In addition, concerted efforts should be made to build a lifelong learning bridge to comprehensively improve the human resource level of the property management industry in order to support the property management industry’s transformation towards a modern service industry.
