On 28th March 2018,a pre-school education research and development public welfare fund project jointly established by the Bayi School of the Open University of China (OUC) and the China Charities Aid Foundation for Children (CCAFC) was launched in Beijing.
Wang Lin, council director and secretary-general of CCAFC, and Zhang Yichen, dean of the OUC Bayi School, signed the strategic cooperation agreement and unveiled the plaque for the pre-school education research and development public welfare fund.
The pre-school project is a leading project owned by CCAFC. It is aimed at early education for children aged less than six, with an emphasis on helping pre-school children in poverty-stricken and remote border areas. The CCAFC pre-school education research and development public welfare fund strives to improve pre-school educational issues in poverty-stricken areas and build a platform to accumulate pre-school education public welfare charity resources; expand and optimise the development pattern for per-school education; implement research, practice and services of pre-school education and development; and integrate cutting-edge scientific educational concepts and methods into pre-school education.
The OUC Bayi School and CCAFC state that they will cooperate in carrying out distance training for pre-school teachers, produce quality pre-school education online courses, and organise public welfare joint performances with the aim of improving the professional development of pre-school education.
Founded in 12 January 2010, CCAFC is a national public fund-raising foundation affiliated with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It offers survival, medical, psychological support, skills, and growth aids to children of unattended orphans, drop-out students, troubled teenagers, and other children with special circumstances.
