The OUC’s International Chinese Language Education (undergraduate) major aims to develop and cultivate teachers of Chinese to foreign speakers.
Students of this major should have a firm basic grasp of the Chinese language, grasp basic theories and methods of teaching Chinese as a second language in a systematic way, be culturally literate, and possess inter-cultural communication skills in order to become application-oriented international professionals capable of engaging in teaching Chinese as a second language and Chinese-foreign cultural exchanges.
