The provincial-level rounds of Sixth China International Internet Plus College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition all concluded recently. After fierce competition, six projects from the Open University of China (OUC) were shortlisted for the national-level contest of the competition.
Since its launch, the competition has received positive responses from the OUC branches. A total of 24 OUC branches organised university-level contest. According to the performance of the university-level contests, the OUC employed senior experts to provide tutoring and guidance to the top three contestants. By the deadline for the regional races, more than 20 experts had been employed to offer online and onsite guidance for a total of 40 sessions.
As of 17 September 2020, 59 projects from the OUC system have been awarded with prizes, including nine gold prizes, 21 silver prizes, and 29 bronze prizes. Six of the projects from the Liaoning, Zhejiang, Hunan, Qinghai, and Bingtuan branches have been successfully shortlisted for the national-level competition. The OUC is making arrangements to invite senior experts from different industries to help polish the shortlisted projects and so far two online guidance sessions have been given.
