On 25 March 2023, good news came from the 10th International Abilympics, Chen Liangjie, a participant from Pinghu, won the championship in the text processing competition, and was awarded the Best Player Award with the highest score among all the winners. Prior to this, he had won the provincial championship for this project three times and the national championship once.
While working, Chen Liangjie continues his studies at Pinghu College of Zhejiang Open University. He suffers from congenital deafness. However, the strong-willed Chen Liangjie has not lost his passion for life due to his physical disability. Instead, he has worked hard with an unbeatable spirit and is determined to learn and live like normal people. From childhood to adulthood, he had to put in several times the effort of others to "listen" to what the teachers were saying, and he learned the class content by reading lips. With his tenacious perseverance, Chen Liangjie was admitted to Zhejiang Financial Vocational College in 2006. When he was choosing a major, Chen Liangjie chose computer science. In college, he spent every day practicing his operating skills in the computer room. Opportunity favors the prepared mind, and when Chen Liangjie learned that Microsoft was holding the "Typing Credential" competition, he immediately signed up without hesitation. He successfully won the 2006 Zhejiang English typing championship and entered the top ten in the English typing group of the finals of China’s mainland in the following year, which is worth mentioning that he was the only disabled participant in the competition. Chen Liangjie has finally proven himself that with his own efforts, he can also have a wonderful life. Fate is in his own hands!
The victory in the computer competition opened a new door for Chen Liangjie. In 2009, after graduating from college, Chen Liangjie became a draftsman. After starting his job, he continued to study computer operation skills. In the following decade, Chen Liangjie won many championships in the text processing competition for people with disabilities in vocational skills. Since 2015, he has frequently participated in national competitions. In 2019, Chen Liangjie won the first place in the computer text processing competition with high scores at the 6th National Competition for People with Disabilities on Vocational Skills.
On the path of learning, Chen Liangjie never stopped. In March 2022, he applied to continue his studies in engineering management at Pinghu College of Zhejiang Open University, starting a new journey of learning and constantly improving his theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Chen Liangjie said, "The road of life is still long. I believe that no matter what difficulties we encounter, as long as we hold onto an indomitable and never-give-up spirit, we will definitely shine with our own brilliance. For me, a beautiful future has just begun." With his hard work and perseverance, Chen Liangjie has achieved a beautiful dream and created a bright future for himself.
