Chang Fengyan is an associate professor who also serves as the head of the School of English and leads the English Programme. She earned her master's degree in English Applied Linguistics from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1997 and her master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham in 1999. Her expertise spans various areas, including English reading, phonics, listening, and speaking. Chang Fengyan has made significant contributions to the development of multiple English textbooks, including Reading Plus, Spectrum, This Is English, and Interactions Listening/Speaking. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in the design and production of videos for undergraduate courses like Advanced Everyday English, as well as video lessons and learning systems for This Is English 4.
