In 2012, Wang Xiaozhu graduated in design science from the Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University as a doctor of fine arts; her research is focused on animation theory and animation education; the courses she leads include Introduction to Animation, Animation Design Basis, Motion Law and Animation Techniques, and Later-Stage Production and Composition of Animation; she is now a lecturer in the OUC School of Arts and Law and has published several academic papers in national and international journals and professional works  — ‘Introduction to Animation’ as well as ‘Animation Design’ and ‘Animation Layout Design’. She works as a responsible person in the animation programme, she leads and participates in several scientific research projects, and she undertakes the task of developing core courses in the construction of specialized courses. She was honored as the 2008 Excellent Post-Graduate of Tsinghua University, and the Excellent Masters’ Graduation Dissertations of Tsinghua University. In 2011, she won the first prize of Zhang Ding Scholarship of Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University. In 2012, she was awarded as an excellent PhD graduate of institutions of higher education in Beijing.
