Zhou Xiaozheng is a famous sociologist. He is now a professor in the Department of Sociology, Renmin University of China; director and researcher of Renmin University Legal Sociology Research Institute; a member of the compilation group of the National Resource Report, Environmental Committee of the National People’s Congress; a special commentator, observer and guest associate producer of several media, such as China Central Television, Beijing Television, and Shanghai Television. For years, he has participated in the investigation of several key social issues at the invitation of different government departments. His major works include ‘Applied Sociology, Population Crisis ---- Warning of Sociologists to Society’, and ‘Introduction to Social Functioning’. He has also published a number of papers and research reports.
