Wei Guosheng mainly lectures on animal breeding and raising pigs within the study of animal husbandry.

He participated in the “establishment of a breeding selection and matching system for hybrid commodity lean pig father and pig mother” research project, which was the Heilongjiang Province “7th Five-Year Plan” and “8th Five-Year Plan” Scientific and Technological project. This research work was awarded third prize in the Heilongjiang Science and Technology Progress Award.
