Ms. Zheng is a professor within the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University. She is a key member of the national teaching team, working on teaching of elementary computer and software engineering courses, and conducting technology research into online education.

She established the national quality course “Object-oriented Programming”, and published more than ten teaching materials as editor-in-chief. C++ Language Programming won second prize for Science and Technology and the title of Quality Textbook of Higher Education from the Ministry of Education. 

She received second prize for National Teaching Achievements, first prize for Teaching Achievements in Beijing, second prize for Science and Technology in China Universities, and second prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Ministry of Education. 

She has taken charge of National 863 Key Projects, drafted a number of national standards for Information technology, and co-drafted the international standard ISO/IEC 19788-1:2011. She is the expert for and co-editor of the ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 International Standard Organization, the deputy secretary general of the Education and Information Technology Standards Committee of the Ministry of Education, and executive director of the National Higher Computer Education Research Association.
