Guo Chunyan is an associate professor within, and vice president of, the Humanities and Social Science Department of Beijing Information Science and Technology University.

The main courses she teaches include Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Computer Technology, and Office Automation Software Applications.

Teaching materials she has edited include Office Automation, published by the Higher Education Press in June 2003; Office Automation Software Applications, published by the Higher Education Press in June 2004; National Occupation Qualification Training Course for Secretaries, published by the Central TV University Publishing House in August 2006; and A Scheme for Higher Occupational Education Comprehensive Training, published by the Higher Education Press in January 2006.
