Chen Xin is a professor and vice president of the Computer Department of Beijing Information Science and Technology University. He is also a master's tutor.
Positions he holds include member of the Science Professional Committee of the Theoretical Computer and Petri Professional Committee of Chinese Computer Society.
From September 2000 to September 2003, he studied for a doctorate in computer application technology at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the Beijing Institute of Technology. He has been teaching at the computer school of Beijing Information Science and Technology University (Beijing Institute of Information Engineering) since January 1999. In December 2000, he won first prize in group B for science in the "Third Young University Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition in Beijing". In 2006, he won the title "Beijing Municipal Universities’ Middle-aged Key Teachers". In recent years, he hosted and completed the Beijing education teaching reform programme "applied training of information security professionals construction and reform" and three other programmes, and published five papers on teaching reform.
He hosted the National Natural Science Foundation’s “Service awareness network real-time QoS studies based on random network calculation” research programme and three other programmes; presided over the completion of the Beijing outstanding talents special funding programme; helped develop a plan for the Beijing Commission of Science and Technology, and participated in the completion of major research plans for the National Natural Science Fund, the National Natural Science Fund, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and the sub-programme of national science and technology support. He has published 35 papers in journals such as the Chinese Journal of Electronics, Computer Journal, and Journal of Electronics. Among them, 17 articles can be retrieved on SCI, EI, ISTP and 15 articles are in core Chinese journals. He has also obtained 11 software copyrights.
