Li Zhixiang teaches the OUC’s Mechanical Drawing, Mechanical Manufacturing Basics, Computer Graphics and Mechanical CAD/CAM courses.
After obtaining a postdoctoral degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in July 2009, she was allocated to the OUC and has been engaging in teaching work.
She is mainly engaged in the research of the design of mechanical structures and biomechanics.
She has been involved in a number of provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects. She completed the foundation of the national defense scientific research programme (K1302060610) “Research of the human body models under impact”. This programme won first prize for outstanding achievements in science and technology from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2006. As project leader, she is responsible for the 2010 Annual Youth Research of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for CCRTVU (G10FQ0019Q), "Research on the design of plastic air intake manifolds". She is also undertaking the Ministry of Education 2010 key project of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for National Education Science (GJA104027) "Research on distance education as the support of education occupation". She has published more than 20 academic papers in domestic and international core journals and international conferences.
The small courseware “The Orientation and Positioning Principles of Mechanical Models” that she hosted won first prize in the CCRTVU’s Multimedia Courseware Small Courseware Competition in 2009.
She took part in the compilation of the Mechanical Principle bilingual teaching course of the 12rh Five Year plan for ordinary higher education, and the compilation of written open education materials for Computer Graphics.
