Bai Xinli, chief editor of the textbook for Engineering Mechanics (undergraduate), is a master of engineering; a professor; a member of the China Association for Promoting Democracy and The Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics; executive member of Henan Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM); member of the CSTAM Advisory Committee; member of the China Computer Federation; an outstanding teacher of Henan Province and Zhengzhou; and an outstanding teacher of mechanics of CSTAM.
He has supervised eleven masters and in recent years he has taken in charge of or participated in finishing 18 province-level scientific research projects. He has published over 60 papers and two monographs, and acted as editor-in-chief of three textbooks. He also has won one second prize and six third prizes for scientific and technological progress at the province or ministry-level.
