Wang Zhaoqing is chief editor and chief lecturer of the OUC subject Computer Networks (undergraduate).

Wang received post doctorial education in the U.S. and is now professor and supervisor for master candidates of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. He is director of the Teaching Research Department of Computer Technology.

In 1986, he graduated in the course of Automation from Zhejiang Institute of Silk Textile Technology; he was conferred a master's degree in computer application and doctor's degree in communication and information systems from Shanghai Jiaotong University respectively in 1995 and in 1998; From 2001 to 2004, he did post-doctorial research in the University of California, Davis. He has published nearly thirty journal articles and four copies of teaching materials, several of which are included in SCI/CI. He has participated and taken charge of the studies on longitudinal research projects including multi-media collaboration operational chain of command of the State Commission of Science and Technology for national defense industry, the 863 project (hi-tech research development plan put forward in March 1986), and major scientific and technological network agreement testing conducted with the Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation, Zhejiang Department of Education and other departments of Zhejiang province, and automatic generation software, as well as some latitudinal projects including School Version database management system. During his stay in the U.S., he mainly accomplished the research of laser vehicle detector and cooperative surveillance system. He has attended on many occasions the PATH annual conference of California U.S. and the DETC international annual conference of ASME, and he was appointed dissertation reader for the "ASME Computers and Information in Engineering Conference". His major research field lies in network computing, CSCW collaborative operations, embedded systems, sensor networks and moveable code systems.
