Zheng Weimin is a professor and doctorial supervisor. He graduated from the Department of Automation of Tsinghua University and remained to teach in the same university in 1970. He got his master's degree in 1982, and he is now professor and doctorial supervisor at the Department of Computer Science and Technology in Tsinghua University. He acts as vice president of the China Computer Federation, director of the Academic Trade Union of the China Computer Federation, member of the Eighth Evaluation Committee for Prize for Progress in Science and Technology of Beijing Municipality. He studied spread operation systems in the State University of New York at Stony Brook from 1985 to 1986, and participated in the research of functional language and parallel compiling systems at the University of Southampton in the UK from 1989 to 1991.

He is the lecturer of Fundamentals of Computer Application for the progamme.
