Professor, director of the Computer and Software Technology Research Institute of Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic, director of the Software Testing and Quality Management Technology Training Centre, member of the Special Committee of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, vice chair of the sub-society of higher vocational college  of Guangdong Computer Society branch, member of the Guangdong Provincial Higher Vocational College IT Teaching Committee, "Silver Collar" consultant for the Higher Education Press, and past dean of the Computer Science department and Software School of Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic.

He has taught about 10 computer-science courses in areas related to computer networks and software technologies.

He founded the Computer Science department at Lanzhou Petrochemical Polytechnic and the Computer Science department and Software School at Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic. He was also successful in applying to establish the Guangdong Province Model Software College to train students in the use of computer software under the supervision of 6 ministries and commissions.

The software-testing course that he created was named a National Premium Course by the Ministry of Education in 2007, while his Integrated Wiring Technology and Engineering course received that honour in 2005. He has published 10 textbooks of various types: Computer Technology, named an “Excellent Textbook of China Machine Press” in 2006; Software Testing, which placed second among electronics textbook for higher vocational education in the China Education Society of Electronics (CESE) competition in 2006; and others. He came first in the 6th Guangzhou Municipal Higher Education Teaching Awards in 2006, and won the “special prize” in the same competition in 2009.
