Admission requirements: A regular high-school, vocational high-school, technical-school or secondary-professional school diploma.

Objectives: This major aims to train its students in the relevant management skills, enabling them to meet the needs of geriatric care in China; develop them in an all-round way in terms of morality, intelligence, physical, aesthetic and labor education, give them a high level of ideological political consciousness, and ensure that they are ethical and humane; make them care about the elderly and understand how to care for them, and able to face the needs of all kinds of older adults in terms of physiology, psychology, rehabilitation and health care.

Length of study: The minimum length of study is 2.5 years, and the student status is valid for eight years since registration.
