Admission requirements: Junior college degree or higher in the same or similar major in the national education system; A nursing qualification for admission to Nursing major.. Those with a   junior college degree in Nursing from the OUC and are admitted to the OUC junior college to undergraduate programmes, need fulfill no other requirements.

Objectives: The major aims to cultivate professionals who meet the needs of the development of medical and health services in China, and are developed in an all-round way, who have a high ideological and political level and whose values qualify them to safeguard and promote health; whose work is stringent and scientific, who possess good professional ethics, and who are able to undertake nursing in clinics, communities, and at the grass-roots.

Length of study: The minimum length of study is 2.5 years, and the student status is valid for eight years since registration.

Total class hours and credits: 1,296 class hours, 72 credits

Main courses: Pathophysiology, Internal Medicine for Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics, Gynecology and Pediatric Nursing, Community Nursing, Nursing Research Methods, Nursing Ethics, Health Education and Promotion, Literature Retrieval, and others.
