I. Training Objectives and Standards
Two-year undergraduate programme(start from junior college level) for part-time students to complete the programme within three years. Mminimum length of study should be no less than two and half years.
The programme aims to foster the all-round ethical, physical and intellectual development of students. Graduates should be advanced, application-oriented professionals, equipped with the skills and competence applicable to career opportunities related to the operation, maintenance, design manufacture and development of mechatronics products and systems.
Students should have a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to strive to serve the people. They should be law-abiding and have strong social morals and professional ethics.
Professional Requirements:
(1) A solid grasp of the basic knowledge and skills of mechanical design and manufacture;
(2) A solid grasp of the basic theories, knowledge and skills of control engineering, such as sensor testing technology, execution and drive technology, and computer control technology;
(3) An acquisition of the comprehensive preliminary capability in the design, manufacture, use, maintenance, research and development of mechatronics products and systems;
(4) Basic abilities relating to technical and economic analysis and the production organisation management of electrical product manufacturing projects;
(5) The ability to speak a foreign language to a certain level and have the ability to read foreign language materials for the course;
II.Core Courses
C++ Language Programming, Computer Graphics, Introduction to Electrical Control Engineering, Electrical Control and Programmable Controller Technology, Sensor and Test Technology, Mechanical CAD/CAM, Hydraulic Pneumatic Technology, Introduction to Mechatronics System Design, Electric Drive and Speed Regulating System, Robotics and Its Application, Matlab Language and Its Application, Mechanical Manufacture Equipment and Design etc.
III. Graduation
The minimum number of credits requiredto graduate from this major is 72. Graduates who obtain the required number of credits and meet the moral education requirements will be awarded with a nationally-recognised undergraduate graduation certificate of higher education. Those qualified for the degree requirements will be conferred with the bachelor degree of engineering.
