Department Overview:
The Central Radio and TV University, now Open University of China (OUC), established its Development Planning Office in July 2007. By June 2014, it had evolved into the Department of Career Development and Cooperative Education. This entity underwent another transformation in May 2017, emerging as the Department of Career Development. A significant restructure in July 2018 led to the creation of the Office of Reform and Development and Policy Research, with the Office of Research Management and the Poverty Alleviation Office attached. Most recently, in March 2020, it transitioned to its current form, the Department of Reform and Development, encompassing both the Poverty Alleviation Office and the Office of Research Management.
Main Functions:
Direct the university's comprehensive reforms and oversee strategic development and planning initiatives.
Engage in policy research and in-depth studies on critical issues, supervising the legality, review and administration of the university's normative documents.
Spearhead efforts in system development, overseeing inter-regional support projects such as ‘Aid-Xinjiang' and ‘Aid-Tibet'.
Manage the university’s career statistics operations.
Administer the institution’s research management.
Act as the secretariat for the OUC's Council and Administration Committee.
Fulfill additional responsibilities as delegated by the university.
